The Loferno master bath started out as many large master baths of today with a very large whirlpool tub under a window that was hardly used and a small shower that was used daily. The bathroom lacked convenient storage space while most of the room was claimed by the large tub. After removing a few small dividing walls, the tub and the window, the large tile shower was moved to the tub location and glass block laid to maintain the natural light while providing privacy from the neighboring home.
The powder area cherry cabinetry was made to match the existing vanity to allow for the existing vanity to be reused. Heated wire was installed under the tile floor to keep the bare feet nice and warm. With a nice bench, plenty of convenient storage space, a handheld showerhead and grab bar this shower will service users even if mobility is an issue. Granite counter tops add character and color and counter top towers add storage that is easily accessible without reaching low.
