Leaks & Noises

FAQs about Leaks and Noises

Why does my water heater pop and crack when it is on?

This is due to calcium buildup on the bottom of a gas heater and on the elements on an electrical heater. This calcium build up cause overpayment on your utility bill.

I hear creaking in the walls, why?

Pipe expand and contract when they heat up and cool down. This causes them to move and rub against the frame of the house.

What should I expect when you arrive?

Because your time is valuable, we will send a fully trained technician to your home in a truck stocked with thousands of parts. Which means the repair can be done right then and there while we are at your home unless your problem is unusual. This not only saves you time but money! Your technician always does a thorough examination of the problem and will spend time with you helping you understand the problem and the proper procedure to repair it right. He will give you a StraightForward price with options before any work begins, so you know exactly what it costs and what is going to be done.

How long will it take?

It is difficult to determine this because there are so many variables. We would recommend that you be available for 2-4 hours an average depending on the complexity of the service call. Some service calls may take longer than four hours. While the work is being done you may leave and come back to finalize the visit if necessary. We do set appointment windows of two hours and notify you when we are on the way.
