If I was 15 again, I don’t think I would change anything about who I am. I truly believe that how we are raised and the things we experience when we’re young mold us into the people that we are today. Like everyone else, though, I have weaknesses and things about myself that I don’t enjoy. But at the end of the day, I don’t have any regrets about my past. There are some things that happened when I was younger that I really appreciate. For instance, I was taught at a very young age the importance of work ethic and providing for myself. That’s been very valuable to me during my adulthood. I was also fortunate enough to be taught the trade of plumbing, which is something that can never be taken away from me. As far as I can tell, plumbing is something that we’ll always have a need for.I spent a lot of time both at work and learning the trade of plumbing when I was a teenager. During the summer and right out of high school, I went full time into working in the business. If I would’ve done anything a little bit differently, it would probably be centered around just being a kid and enjoying not having any responsibilities. I also would’ve focused a little more on education. Even though I’ve done well for myself, there are times when specific kinds of education can be very important. Especially when you’re in a leadership position and the owner of a business.I played sports as a kid, and I think they serve a vital role in learning leadership skills. Sports can quickly become overwhelming for some kids, but that’s why we have to strike a healthy balance just like with everything else in life. Playing sports is about working as a team and having a coach who provides good leadership. When you think about it, we’re all part of many different teams depending on the roles in our life. I’m part of my family team with my wife and children. Here in the company we’re all a big team trying to accomplish the same goal. In each of these groups, everyone should be pushing each other to accomplish something. Those are the experiences that have led me to where I am today. I’ll continue to grow through my experiences in the years to come. If you have any questions, contact us online or give us a call at 540-483-9382.
